About Me

Navigating life as the wife of  a football coach and mom of 4 has its ups and downs. After having two kids within 16 months, I was knee deep in diapers and ABC’s and feeling lost and alone. I was tired of being tired; exhausted from lack of sleep and sicknesses that kept popping up. There was no thriving or surviving, it was living one hard moment to the next. I finally found my footing again, after two more babies and several more bumpy years, with clean(er) living + wellness for my family. I found purpose in guiding other mamas in their own clean living + wellness journey along with organization tips to manage the chaos in the day-to-day.

About Barnes Bedlam

Back to the Bedlam….as you can see my life is very full, even chaotic. I have come to the realization that, for this season in my life, bedlam will rule. It’s up to me to use my passion and drive to make some sense of the bedlam and enjoy the chaotic ride that life has become.

After having the 4 children my heart longed for but I wanted….MORE. I found purpose and passion in sharing my deepest thoughts in writing, educating others in low-tox living with essential oils, laughing at the disasters and crying over the challenges of motherhood. I learned that sharing of these experiences binds us together and builds a community, whether it’s a mom win or a mis-step. What I found was the more I opened up the conversation to these “taboo” subjects we as women face, but rarely speak about, the more we found strength in each other. My hope and desire is to continue to share this journey of motherhood while building a community so that there is one less person not feeling alone or less than.

At Barnes Bedlam you will find all manner of things to occupy your time—recipes, essential oil education classes, a peek into my life and heart as a mom and wife and so much more. Take a look at The One that Started it All to see more about me and why I decided to start this blog.
